How these fees work
The fee shown will, in most cases, be the actual legal fee for the described service. If the facts, complexity, or requested scope require a different fee, the change will be discussed, presented in writing, and agreed to by the client before the additional work is undertaken.
Legal fees do not include out-of-pocket expenses or third-party charges such as filing fees, recording fees, court costs, service of process, court reporters, title searches, title premiums, taxes, notary charges, or similar matter expenses unless a written agreement expressly says otherwise.
Retainer matters are billed as provided in the written engagement agreement. A contingency fee is owed only as stated in the signed contingency-fee agreement.
